My Story

I'm a Special Education Teacher with a B.A. in Therapeutic Recreation and a Masters in Teaching degree. I have over 10 years of experience working with kids with special needs and their families. I worked as a Special Ed Teacher for a classroom of kids with Autism for 4 years. I recently left the classroom to work as a Specialized Educator/Coach with families privately. I support kids and their parents through 1-on-1 coaching. I also lead an educational and creative arts program called "Circle Time with Miss Lara" through the local library. All of my work is done virtually, through Zoom. I am the creator and leader of Kids Corner, a virtual program for kids ages 5-7 focused on movement, socialization, and self-expression.
